The European project Women's Legacy (2020-2023) has made a collective effort to transfer the results from feminist research and women's and gender studies obtained over the last decades in all areas of knowledge. Its objective is to act in schools to correct the androcentric bias that distorts the cultural landscape, which is shared and amplified in the education context. This bias is one of the most blatant elements of female delegitimization and one of the causes of the lack of rigor in the educational contents since the masculine category continues to appear as the only universal one.
This lack of attention to female experiences, contributions and genealogies hinders knowledge and prevents these contributions from being woven into a common narrative. The work of these last three years has revealed some aspects that we are interested in discussing in depth, such as the updating of contents and the way of generating knowledge in the classroom.
For all these reasons, the topics we propose to address in this conference are the following:
- The cultural narrative. False attributions, absences, and implications of distortion.
- Resignification and restructuring of sociocultural movements and revision of genres.
- Methodology, review and updating of content in both teaching and research.
You will be able to contribute to the conference in different ways, both in person and online.
